For the fifth consecutive year, First Credit Union, now part of Vancity, has been named one of BC’s Top 100 Employers by Mediacorp Canada.

First Credit Union and Vancity Complete Merger

First Credit Union and Vancity today announced the official closing of their business transaction, following receipt of all required legal and regulatory approvals.

Effective today, First Credit Union will operate as FCU Community Financial, a division of Vancity.

For now, FCU members will continue to use the same branches, accounts, and day-to-day services they rely on today. Any future changes to products, services or systems will be communicated clearly and in advance. We look forward to sharing further details regarding operational enhancements and future initiatives in the coming months.

First Credit Union Members Vote YES to a Merger With Vancity

First Credit Union (FCU) and Vancouver City Savings Credit Union (Vancity) jointly announce that First Credit Union members have voted in favour of the proposed merger between the two credit unions. The vote, held between November 12^th and 18^th, paves the way for the creation of a combined entity that will deliver enhanced member value, expanded services, and an even greater positive impact on communities.
